Call Of Duty Ghosts: Devastation release date for PSN/PC

Today the Ripper was released, also showing the Devastation release date for PSN/PC.
"The Ripper will be released on May 8th as part of DLC 2: Devastation".
The Official release date for PSN/PC is May 8th (May 9th for some countries).

Call Of Duty Ghosts: Extinction Double XP Weekend on now!

You heard it! Double XP weekend is now on for Extinction. This gives people an easier path to prestige. 

Tip: Use weapon specialist to get even more kills, letting you get more XP.

Call Of Duty Ghosts: Onslaught Maps in regular map rotation

If you haven't realized already, the Onslaught maps (Fog, Bayview, Ignition and Containment) have been added to the regular map rotation. You no longer need to go to a separate game to play the Onslaught maps. This has occurred on all platforms (PSN, Xbox and PC).

Call Of Duty Ghosts: PSN/PC Season Pass holders Get The Ripper now!

If you're on a Playstation 3/4 or PC and you have a season pass, now you can obtain The Ripper! 

What is The Ripper?: The Ripper is a gun that can switch between sub machine gun and a assault rifle on the fly. If you need to clear a room, use sub machine mode, need a long range kill, use assault mode. I'd suggest watching this video by Ali-A.

Call Of Duty Ghosts Guide: How to get the Venom-X on Unearthed

The new map pack, Devastation, has brought a LOAD of cool stuff, one being the Venom-x from extinction on Unearthed. Here is a guide to get the Venom-X. 

1. There a three supports on the crane. Using explosives, destroy the three supports (Grenade launcher, smetexes etc) 
   
2. The box, that the crane was holding, will drop onto the back of a small truck
   
3. Inside, there is a box holding the Venom-X

Call Of Duty Ghosts Guide: Egg-stra XP Guide for Devastation

Like Onslaught, Devastation has 'egg-stra' XP. Which is where 4 small extinction hives are hidden on the 4 new maps included in Devastation (No doubt Invasion and Nemesis will have egg-stra XP) When the hive/eggs are shot you will get a little achievement on the left side of your screen, to show you have correctly found the egg/hive. This must be done on online multiplayer matches. The locations are as follows:

Unearthed:

Once you have found all 4 hive/eggs, you jump into Mayday and destroy the first hive, there earning 10000 XP!

Call Of Duty Ghosts: Big Extinction update, PSN/PC users now get new customization packs

Extinction update is out. Head into loadout>armory to spend your teeth on new upgrades. 
PSN/PC users, you can now buy the NEW customization packs including Rorke, Hazmat Suit, Zakhaev and the legendary pack, Makarov.
